G-HARMONICS

     G-Harmonics is the home of talented singers and instrumentalists of the Accountancy Cluster. It is the official glee club under the Accountancy Student Executive Council where talents are nurtured and honed through various activities that the club has to offer. Throughout the years, members of this club have represented the Accountancy Cluster during the different competitions and events inside and outside the university. Activities like music jamming, workshops, and covers are initiated to improve the skills as well as strengthen the bond between its members. Truly, this club recognizes that the cluster does not just excel in academics but also in other aspects, especially in music.

JPIA-RMYC

Acoustic Band Competition

G-Harmonics was hailed as champion during the Acoustic Band Competition, bringing home the title once again to the Ateneo Community during the 2019 JPIA Regional Mid-Year Convention. They serenaded the crowd with a mashup of classic OPM hits with Rivermaya’s Hinahanap-Hanap Kita, Imelda Papin’s Isang Linggong Pag-Ibig and Neocolours’ Tuloy Pa Rin (left to right: Edgar Balino, Adie Calledo, Arthur De Guzman, Kim Libiran and Kim Kalaw).

Sayawit Competition

Representatives of AdDU JPIA were Mica Landicho (in Griffins shirt) and Kobe Viray (in blue shirt) from G-Harmonics who brought home the bacon during the 2019 JPIA Regional Mid-Year Convention’s Sayawit Competition. They wowed the crowd with their rendition of Alicia Keys’ hit song – If I Ain’t Got You.

2018

Acoustic Band Competition

Besting other candidates, G-Harmonics brought home the crown during the 2018 JPIA Regional Mid-Year Convention’s Acoustic Band Competition. They performed a mashup of Bee Gees’ How Deep is Your Love, Christina Perri’s Jar of Hearts and Ariana Grande’s No Tears Left To Cry, which left the crowd cheering (left to right: Summer Goc-ong, Mutya Embrado, Adie Calledo, Fritz Cabigas and Judee Trazo).

Vocal Duet Competition

G-Harmonics’ very own Andrei Apitan and Krislet Corciega bagged 2nd place in Vocal Duet Competition during the 2018 Regional Mid-Year Convention of the Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (JPIA). They represented AdDU JPIA with their powerful rendition of Christina Aguilera’s “Ain’t No Other Man”.

Your Face Sounds Familiar

Impersonating Moira dela Torre, Kim Lois Libiran of G-Harmonics placed 2nd during the 2018 JPIA Regional Mid-Year Convention’s Your Face Sounds Familiar segment. Kim amazed everyone with her vocal ability, performing Moira’s iconic hit ‘Tagu-Taguan’.

Junior Philippine Insitute of Accountants - Regional Mid-Year Convention

 Star Search

Michelle Macaldo from G-Harmonics represented the Accountancy Cluster during the 2019 Star Search with Songs from Broadway as their theme. The audience were blown away with her emotional rendition of Jekyll and Hyde: The Musical's Someone Like You. She also performed Hairspray's You Can't Stop the Beat during the upbeat portion of the competition.

Star Search

Representing the Accountancy Cluster during the 2018 Star Search, Trisha Shen Balandra of G-Harmonics proved that she is the star of the night with her powerful rendition of Beyonce’s ‘End of Time’ during the upbeat portion of the competition. For her ballad piece, she delivered an emotional performance of a Shirley Bassey classic ‘I (Who Have Nothing)’.

Your Face Sounds Familiar

Representing Accountancy for Your Face Sounds Familiar, Andrei Apitan of the G-Harmonics bested other contestants and won 1st place during the 2019 School of Business and Governance Week with her impersonation of Tina Turner and her rock ‘n’ roll hit ‘Proud Mary’.

Musikahan

The photos were taken during Musikahan 2019 with the band - Double Rule. The 6-piece band are all members of G-Harmonics who were formed through selection. The name of the band refers to a double line drawn in the grand total amount which is commonly used in accounting and is relevant since all members are accounting students (left to right: Kim Kalaw, Kyle Patrick Tiu, Trisha Balandra, Eloisa Geralde, Basti Ruiz and Krystelle Trinidad).
